Microsoft/Activision Merger is Coming, Game Pass Core is Dumb and is Replacing Xbox Live Gold
While the Microsoft and Acitivsion merger is not offically complete, it would take something crazy weird to stop it now. That being said, Cory and Basher give their views on the merger and what kind of effects it will have on the industry .
Microsoft is also officially retiring Xbox Live Gold for Game Pass Core. What was already a confusing tier of options for players has somehow gotten more confusing. What might seem like a harmless brand synergy play looks a lot more sinister the deeper you dive.
